CRAFT is different from typical shelters. The primary difference is that most of the cats here roam free. You can pet them, hold them, and watch how they interact with other cats in a more home-like setting. This is less stressful for the cats, and makes it much easier for adopters to get to know the cats, than if they were caged.
Because our cats roam free in the cattery, we ask that when you enter the building vestibule area, you make sure that the door to the outside is closed before opening the door to the cattery, so that no cats can escape. Also, if you bring your children, please watch to make sure they don't accidentally let any cats out. On adoption days our staff is stretched very thin and don't have time to watch the door.
